I started photography at a very early age and became more serious about photography during my academic, scientific, and work related activities. Later, my business life caused me to travel extensively in the U.S. and many other countries. My camera was always with me, and I snapped many interesting and often very unusual pictures. In retirement, I became deeply and passionately involved in photography, and I am excited about the tremendous potential digital photography has. I hope my artwork brings pleasure to many and varied folks around the world. Doug

That is unfortunate, it's is such a beautiful creature. I see fox all the time by my house in Colorado, but have never seen any like this. This is really a great capture.

Savanna, you are probably most correct. There is numerous subspecies and a multitude of varieties. Cross breeding occurs around the world. I am not a mamologist, however, "Despite its name, the species often produces individuals with abnormal colourings, including albinos and melanists. Forty-five subspecies are currently recognised, which are divided into two categories" Nevertheless, I was most fortunate to get the photos of this wonderful creature. Unfortunately, it was injured when I first saw it. So, I put out some food to help it through the winter. It came back for 3 -4 days, then never again. I think the injuries were too severe. Unfortunate. The photographs which I took were at such an angle as to obscure the injuries. Doug
